Lego: Climbing higher

Similar to the crossing the gap video.

This video is of a robotic car being modified to climb progressivly higher obstacles in it's path. It's interesting from a couple of perspectives. First, it illustrates some very creative problem solving using a lego car, so if you're into making stuff and particularly robotics, it's well done. However, it's also a good metaphor for lessons you can apply to life in general.

What life lessons could you draw from this video.

Failure. It's part of the process of being successful

Perseverance. Keep trying until you find a solution.

Itterate. Find a solution. Improve on the solution. Improve on that solution.

Apply non-linear thinking. Look for unconventional solutions. There is more than one way to solve a problem. What worked last time, might not work this time.

Ask Why. If a solution to a problem doesn't work, ask why before abandoning that solution.

Look at the science around a problem to lead you to alternative solutions.
